No. The Foundation's scope is focused on supporting the District's major capital projects and the pilot for a grant program for teachers. Other community and district-based supporting efforts such as the Chamber's Adopters, schools' PTOs, Bright Futures, booster clubs, and the district's scholarship program all continue to function in their way to support our students and teachers.
Donations can be made by mailing a check or online, may be one-time or recurring. Donors may elect to make a commitment over a period of time. Questions can be directed to any member of the Foundation's board.
An independent committee of former teachers and administrators formed by the Foundation will review the grant applications based on an established criteria set. This committee will verify that applications are consistent with district strategy and valid instruction methods. They will then make a recommendation to the Foundation's Board of Directors who will vote to decide which grants will be awarded.
